Shavitz Heating and Air Conditioning

Shavitz Heating and Air Conditioning is a family-owned HVAC company that repairs, installs and maintains furnaces, boilers, air conditioners, heat pumps and indoor air quality equipment. The company works on all makes and models, including Carrier furnaces as a factory authorized dealer, and is known for its boiler work on hydronic and radiator systems common in older North Shore homes.

Shavitz offers 24/7 emergency service for no-heat calls, and maintenance plans include two visits a year for furnaces, boilers and air conditioners. Pricing is given upfront before work begins rather than billed by the hour. The company is based on St. Louis Avenue in Skokie and serves the North Shore and parts of Chicago, with a warranty on its work.
