Smith Family Bookstore

Smith Family Bookstore is a used, new, vintage and rare bookshop that has been buying and selling books since 1974, making it one of the oldest independent bookstores in Oregon. The shop stocks over 500,000 books across hundreds of subjects, including novels, poetry, science fiction, cookbooks, history, children's books and textbooks, and it buys estate and academic collections as well.

The store is on Willamette Street in Eugene's Market District, across from the Post Office, in one of the oldest buildings remaining in the area. Six rooms over two levels hold the stock, and there is free parking on the side. Buyback is by appointment, and the store asks visitors to leave large bags, bedding, rolling carts and bicycles at home. Trained service dogs are welcome, but pets are not.
