Newman's Fish Company

Newman's Fish Company is a fish market in Eugene that has been selling seafood since 1890. The market sells fresh fish and shellfish, artisan cheeses and a range of wholesale seafood, and its signature is fish and chips, with halibut, cod, salmon, rockfish and coconut shrimp served with fries or cole slaw. The menu also includes a prawn roll, a grilled salmon plate and a clam chowder with smoked salmon.

The main Willamette Street market is open Monday through Saturday for fresh seafood and grocery shopping, and the fish and chips are also sold there. Newman's Grotto on Coburg Road, at The Pavilion, is a takeout-only window open daily from 11 to 7, where guests can walk or bike up to order. Telephone orders are taken there, and gift cards are sold at the market.
