About Eugene Car Care

The story

Eugene Car Care is an auto repair and maintenance shop that specializes in Volvo, Subaru, Lexus and Toyota vehicles, handling factory scheduled maintenance, transmission service, brakes, exhaust, suspension, air conditioning and diagnostics for trouble codes. The shop began in the 1980s as a Volvo specialist under the name Swedish Engineering and was renamed when it expanded to other makes.

Customers can book appointments by phone or through the website, and the shop offers a free shuttle for customers in the Eugene and Springfield area while their car is being serviced. Ownership changed in October 2025 to Derek and Michelle David, who previously owned Jerry & Walt's Complete Auto Care. The shop is at 900 McKinley St in Eugene and is open Monday through Thursday.
