Boxcar Bakery is a neighborhood bakery and cafe that serves fresh baked pastries, cakes, coffee, and other drinks. The menu includes year-round cake favorites along with seasonal cakes, plus sandwiches and bread. Co-owners MK and Stacey started the business in 2010 as a home kitchen operation selling at the Five Corners Farmers' Market before opening this shop.
Cake orders need 48 hours notice and should be placed online. Gift cards are available. The bakery is on Park Street in the middle of Essex Junction's 5 Corners, and it is open every day of the week during the day, with early hours that start at 7 AM.
