Cordiano Winery

Cordiano Winery is a family-run winery in the hills of Highland Valley, North County San Diego, producing its own wines and serving food. Gerardo and Rosa Cordiano opened the winery to the public in 2008, after a long earlier career running Italian restaurants in San Diego, and their children Francesco, Joe and Jennifer help run it. Its signature wine is Primo Amore, named for Rosa, which means 'First Love' in Italian.

The tasting room is open Wednesday through Sunday afternoons and evenings, and reservations are recommended. Groups of up to 25 can book a table online, while larger groups and weddings are handled by email. The winery also hosts private events for birthdays, reunions and corporate gatherings, with catering available, and the views over the hills are a draw for visitors.
