Childcare & preschool in Erie

Childcare centers and preschools look after children while parents work or study, and many also offer early learning, with programs organized by age, from infant care and toddler care through pre-kindergarten. Some use a set curriculum such as HighScope, which builds learning through play and child-chosen activities. When you compare options, ask how staff are trained in early childhood education, what the adult-to-child ratio is for your child's age group, and how daily updates and communication with families work. Visit during a normal session, watch how staff interact with children, and ask about openings early, since spots for infants often fill first.
