West Coast Air Conditioning Co., Inc.

West Coast Air is a mechanical and general contracting firm that has worked on construction projects in California since 1962. Its work centers on central plants and co-generation, K-12 school construction and modernization, HVAC systems, and critical facilities such as power plants, hospitals and laboratories. The company describes itself as a mechanical contractor from the start, and it handles lease/leaseback, design-build, construction management and energy conservation projects as well.

This is a commercial and institutional contractor rather than a residential service company, so most of its clients are owners of larger facilities and public projects. Each project is assigned a principal in charge, and the firm reports about 118 employees, most with more than 15 years at the company. The office is in El Cajon.
