Lazy Bear Winery

Lazy Bear Winery makes small batches of fruit and berry wines in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Blueberry, strawberry, peach and honey mead are among its specialties, and the fruit is largely grown on the property and supplemented by local growers in the Greenville area. The winery also makes a Muscadine grape wine and sells candles.

Tastings are offered Thursday through Saturday afternoons, and wines can also be shipped. The winery sits on the owners' property in Pickens County, where the family lives. The owners are retired Air Force, started making wine in 2011, and have won more than 30 competition medals, including two international gold medals.
