Two James Spirits

Two James Spirits is a craft distillery in Corktown, Detroit, making small-batch whiskey, gin, rum, absinthe and a coffee liqueur from grain to bottle with local ingredients. Its Catcher's Rye whiskey and Doctor Bird Jamaica rum have won gold medals at the 2022 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. The tasting rooms serve flights and cocktails made with its own spirits, and bottles can be bought to go.

Distillery tours run Friday through Sunday afternoons for $35 per person and include a limited tasting. Space is limited, so tours need to be reserved and paid for online through PayPal. Visitors often note the bartenders' knowledge, and the garage doors open in summer. Its grain comes from Wing Farms in Dexter, and the barrels are stored at the Rickhouse.
