Detroit 75 Kitchen is a sandwich shop started in 2014 beside a family truck stop on Fort Street in Southwest Detroit. Its best-known order is the Detroit Style Cheesesteak, a ribeye and sirloin sandwich on a pressed sesame roll with Swiss and provolone, and the Garlic Cilantro Fries, a Lebanese-inspired potato dish with house-made roasted jalapeño ketchup. The menu also includes shawarma wraps, fried fish, egg rolls and more than a dozen house-made sauces. Everything served is 100% halal certified.
The Fort Street location is open Monday through Friday, with shorter hours on Thursday and Friday evenings, and stays closed on weekends. A second restaurant operates in Madison Heights, and the kitchen also handles catering and private events. Fort Street has a patio, and the Madison Heights location has weekend hours on Saturday.
