Architects in Des Moines

Architects help you turn a building idea into drawings, plans and approvals, whether you are designing a new structure, renovating an existing one or reusing an old building for a new purpose. Many firms also offer interior design, lighting design, facility assessments and master planning, and some bring in mechanical or electrical engineers under one roof. When you contact a firm in Des Moines, Iowa, ask to see completed projects similar to yours and whether the people who won the work will be the ones doing it. Check that the architect is licensed in Iowa, and ask who handles permits and construction review. Reach out early in your project, before you commit to a design, since a first consultation often clarifies cost and scope.
