Sand Pebbles Resort

Sand Pebbles Resort is a two-story timeshare complex with 49 units, including studios, one-bedroom units, and two-bedroom flats and townhouses. The landscaped grounds have palm trees, giant bird of paradise plants and a fountain with a tumbling waterfall. The pool and spa area is the center of the property, with chaise lounges, patio dining tables and two gas-fired barbecue grills.

The resort sits about one block from the beach in Solana Beach, roughly three-quarters of a mile from the Del Mar Racetrack and Fairgrounds, with easy train access to San Diego, Oceanside and Tijuana. Check-in is on Saturdays, and late arrivals after 10 PM need to call ahead for key pickup. Units have fans but no air conditioning or elevators, and pets are not allowed except certified service dogs. The resort is sold out, so availability is limited.
