Ravinia Nursery School

Ravinia Nursery School is a nonprofit developmental preschool for children from two to five years old, known for a play-based curriculum and a warm, family-style environment. Founded in 1926, it is one of the oldest preschools in Illinois and is often called the Little Blue School.

The school runs two-year-old programs, preschool programs, enrichment classes, a parent participation program and a summer camp that is open to the public. Classes have three teachers each, and parents are involved in the transition from home to school. Tours for fall enrollment can be arranged by contacting the school. The school is located on Red Oak Lane in Highland Park.
