The Brightside Music and Event Venue

The Brightside Music and Event Venue is a mid-size independent live music venue in downtown Dayton that books a wide mix of acts, from original local bands and touring musicians to comedy, dance and wellness events. The venue also runs the Vod-Vil Bar, a popular spot for cocktails, and hosts a Dayton Battle of the Bands with Sound Valley to give emerging local artists a stage.

The room is also rented for weddings and private events, and the Vod-Vil Bar can be booked for smaller events and acts. Parking is free in the lot available for shows, and the venue is a family-owned business run by the Dixon family. The building is a restored early twentieth century coal depot on East 3rd Street.
