Solvita

Solvita is a tissue donation organization that processes donated tissue for recipients who need it for medical treatment. Its work centers on donor families, with grief support through a partnership with Taylor's Gift, and birth tissue donation is offered as a type of living donation that can help treat a variety of medical conditions.

Donors can register online to become an organ, eye and tissue donor. The Kettering facility on College Drive sits in Kettering Research Park, where a solar array helps power tissue processing. Groups can request a speaker, a tour of the tissue center or an event display. Blood donation is now handled by Versiti Blood Center of Ohio, which acquired Solvita's blood services division.
