Cadot Restaurant

Cadot Restaurant is a French restaurant on Preston Road in North Dallas, serving seared foie gras with figs, escargot, Nicoise salad, crab cakes, filet mignon, rack of lamb, Dover sole and seafood risotto. Pastries and desserts, including the thin apple tart, opera cake and soufflés, are made in-house. The family has worked in restaurants, hotels and bakeries since the 1700s, and owner Jean-Marie Cadot trained in Paris before opening in Dallas.

Dinner is served Monday through Saturday, with lunch on Thursday and Friday. The restaurant offers private rooms for corporate and private events, takeout and curbside pickup, and gift cards. Live entertainment and a weekday happy hour are part of the regular schedule, and reviewers often mention the accordion player. Reservations are recommended for weekend evenings.
