North Beach Recovery

North Beach Recovery tows cars and handles roadside breakdowns around Corolla on the Outer Banks. Its crew pulls vehicles out of sand and dunes on the beach, which is a specialty given the local terrain. Other work includes mobile tire repair and installation, battery installation, car lockouts, jump starts, fuel delivery and help with small emergencies on the road.

The company has been in business for over 30 years and takes calls day or night, so a neighbor stuck in an emergency can phone at any hour. Most jobs are handled where the vehicle is rather than at a shop, including tire changes and battery swaps. The service area covers Corolla and nearby parts of Currituck County, including Knotts.
