Derive Brewing Company is a craft brewery, taproom and kitchen known for hazy IPAs, saisons and other less common beer styles, including clean barrel-aged beers. The brewery was founded in 2016 by Luke Sherrill, Peter Steffes and Mike Coates as a nomad brewery, and its taproom opened in August 2020. The kitchen serves pubhouse fare, with shareable plates and a smash burger the menu is built around.
The taproom has a relaxed, come-as-you-are feel, and staff are happy to help pick a pour. Weekly specials include $4 drafts on Mondays, chicken tenders on Tuesdays and half-price smash burgers on Wednesdays. Food can be picked up or ordered for pickup, a rotating selection of 4-packs is sold to go, and digital gift cards are available. The taproom is on North High Street in Clintonville, Columbus, and is open seven days a week.
