Columbus Modern (CoMo) Dance Company

Columbus Modern (CoMo) Dance Company is a part-time professional modern dance company made up of dancers from around the United States, many with dance degrees or equivalent training. The company has an athletic, entertaining style, produces about three full-length productions a year, works with local and national guest choreographers, and performs at arts festivals, farmers' markets and fundraisers.

Adults can take a five-week modern dance class for all levels, taught by company dancer and choreographer Lenka Mičincová, that ends with an informal showing. Classes are taken barefoot, and comfortable exercise clothing is fine. Students who need help with cost can ask about scholarships or work/study options. The downtown studio is in the Ohio Theater basement on East State Street, with metered parking along State Street and nearby garages.
