Colorado BBQ Outfitters

Colorado BBQ Outfitters is a barbecue supply store carrying Green Mountain wood pellet grills and Primo ceramic charcoal grills, along with cooking wood, rubs, sauces, marinades and grilling accessories. The shop stocks a large rub selection, including a section for Colorado-made rubs, and offers testers so shoppers can try before they buy. Its wood selection includes hickory, applewood, mesquite, pecan and cherry.

Staff can help pick a grill or wood for a particular cook, and the store runs hands-on BBQ classes that are offered privately, with group sessions for 10 or more people. Primo grills are not always in stock, so it is worth calling before visiting. The store is open Wednesday through Saturday, 10 AM to 5 PM, at Erindale Square on North Academy Boulevard in Colorado Springs.
