Directions for Living

Directions for Living is a nonprofit mental health and family support provider that has served the Tampa Bay area since 1982. Its services include therapy and case management for adults and children, psychiatry, and programs that help families and people seeking stable housing. The team also runs Mental Health First Aid training, which teaches people to recognize signs of mental health and substance misuse challenges and connect someone to help.

New clients can begin through the getting-started process for adults or children. The Clearwater Center on South Belcher Road houses intake, therapy, psychiatry and an on-site pharmacy, while the Largo Center offers in-home services and parenting classes. Anyone in a mental health crisis is directed to call or text 988 for immediate support, and medical records requests go through a separate records team.
