E & J Foreign Cars has repaired European and Japanese vehicles on Chicago's Northside since the late 1970s. The shop focuses on German makes such as BMW and Porsche and uses its AutoLogic Diagnostic System to pin down problems before work begins. Owner Luther Thomas has worked on foreign cars for more than 30 years and helps customers plan maintenance for the life of their vehicle. ASE certified mechanics do the work, and every repair carries a warranty. Free estimates are available, and the shop explains repairs in plain language and only does work that is necessary. Calling ahead for an appointment is recommended, and the shop is closed on weekends.
