The Rutledge Room

The Rutledge Room is an event venue in a historic building on Rutledge Avenue, built around 1855, with original ceiling tiles and exposed brick alongside modern finishes. It hosts weddings, micro-weddings, rehearsal dinners, bridal showers, holiday parties and corporate meetings, with room for up to 150 guests across three spaces: an entry room, a formal dining room and an enclosed private piazza.

Catering comes through partner Hamby Catering & Events, and the in-house venue manager helps plan custom layouts. In-house rentals include tables, chairs, bars, china and flatware, and the space has extensive audio-visual equipment for performers. Out-of-town guests can book nearby suites through partner Curated Vacation Properties. The venue sits in the Cannonborough-Elliotborough neighborhood of Charleston, a short walk from restaurants and entertainment.
