Luccas Deli

Luccas Deli is an Italian delicatessen in Castro Valley, known for its sandwiches, homemade tortellini and catering menus that include lasagna, chicken cacciatore and Italian cold cut platters. The family's delis date back to Oakland in the late 1940s and 1950s, and the Castro Valley shop was sold in 1990 to Syavash Alaee and his family, who still run it.

Catering is priced per person, with packages that include tossed green salad, antipasto, focaccia or French rolls, and fruit salad, and tortellini or lasagna as the main. Coffee or tea, plates and napkins, and soft drinks can be added. Gift baskets are also offered. The shop is on Castro Valley Boulevard, and it is closed on Sundays after 5 PM.
