Refreshed Furnishings

Refreshed Furnishings is a vintage furniture shop that restyles older pieces, with hand-painted finishes and a wide range of furniture already refreshed and ready to buy. The shop also sells chalk paints and finishes, along with decor, gifts and gourmet food in its old-fashioned country store and multi-vendor makers' market. Owners Sue and Dennis McCabe run the store, which has been refreshing furniture for over ten years.

The shop is open Wednesday through Saturday and on Sunday afternoons. Customers can bring in a piece to be painted or buy paint and supplies for a DIY project, with help along the way. Classes on how to use the chalk paint are offered, and the market is organized into themed rooms such as Nautical, Farmhouse and Kids. The store is at 175 Northwest Hwy in Cary, Illinois.
