Dolce Aroma

Dolce Aroma is an Italian bakery in Carlsbad that makes Neapolitan-style pastries, breads and desserts from family recipes. Its best-known items are sfogliatelle with ricotta, cannoli, and fluffy bomboloni filled to order with cream, Nutella or jam. The bakery also serves Italian sandwiches on ciabatta or baguette, and an espresso bar that pours double-shot espresso, cappuccino and affogato.

The bakery is in the La Costa Town Square shopping center on Via Montebello, open Tuesday through Friday 10 AM to 5 PM, and Saturday and Sunday 9 AM to 5 PM, closed Mondays. It offers a number of gluten-free pastries and sandwich roll substitutions, but it is not a dedicated gluten-free facility and handles wheat flour on-site. Catering is available for corporate events, weddings and family gatherings, with custom cakes and cookie platters.
