TK Hot Kennels

TK Hot Kennels is a family-owned hunting dog training company that works with dogs of all breeds and ages in upland, waterfowl, pheasant, chukar and shed antler hunting. Head trainer Donny has more than 14 years of professional training experience, a degree from the Michael Ellis School of Dog Trainers, and multiple titles in AKC hunt tests and other gun dog events. The kennel also raises litters of Labrador retriever puppies.

Training uses principle-based methods rather than force-based ones, and the program follows a team model of dog, trainer and owner, with monthly visits and lessons. Owners can start with a free consultation or try the DIY training course for a new puppy. Financing is available, and the kennel is based in Caldwell. Puppies start at $1,500 with a $250 non-refundable deposit that goes on the litter list.
