Peace of Mind Veterinary Care

Peace of Mind Veterinary Care is a companion animal practice treating dogs and cats, with wellness visits, dentistry, internal medicine and surgery. The clinic was founded in 2015 and is locally owned, led by founder Dr. Suzanne Wood along with associate veterinarians Dr. Leesa Schaefer and Dr. Matt Torvik. The team recently began offering veterinary care for small mammals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and ferrets.

The newly remodeled clinic has in-house lab, radiology and ultrasound, and an in-house pharmacy. Surgeries include board-certified orthopedic procedures, and pet owners are welcome to stay with their animal through the care process. Boarding is available for current patients. The clinic is at 1900 Ames Dr. in Burnsville, and its online pharmacy no longer fills prescriptions sent from outside pharmacies starting in 2026.
