Shared plates, Italian-rooted sandwiches and rice bowls55 Main St, Burlington, VT

Poco is a shared plate restaurant and bar run by chef-owner Stefano Cicirello and his sister Susie Ely. The pair moved from the Dolce VT food truck into this brick-and-mortar spot, and the lunch menu features sandwiches, rice bowls, coffee, beer, wine and cocktails. Many sandwiches celebrate the family's Italian roots, with some named after relatives and others built on classic Poco flavors, all made on fresh bread.
The restaurant served dinner for a few years before adding lunch, which runs Wednesday through Saturday from 11 to 3. There are no reservations, so guests come in, grab a seat and order at the bar. Private parties of up to 30 can be arranged by email, with a private dinner menu of classic Poco dishes, and gift cards are sold online and in person. It is on Main Street in Burlington, Vermont.
