Computers for Change

Computers for Change buys, sells, trades and repairs Mac and PC laptops and desktops from its shop on College Street. Repairs start at $99 plus parts, and the team quotes before any work begins. Many repairs are done the same day or the next business day. The shop also buys old laptops, desktops, iPhones and iPads, working or broken, and sells tested refurbished machines with a 1-year hardware warranty.

When a repair costs more than a laptop is worth, the shop can help trade up to a refurbished one and move the data over the same day. Home and small office visits are available for setup and troubleshooting, with a first hour of $120 that includes local travel. The shop is in downtown Burlington near UVM and Champlain College, open Tuesday through Saturday.
