The Knowlton

The Knowlton is a restored 1883 factory on the Pequonnock River in Bridgeport that now functions as a waterfront event venue, artist studio complex, office space and outdoor mural park. Its event rooms, including The Boathouse, Armstrong Gallery and Wilder Gallery, host bar and bat mitzvahs, weddings, corporate events and fundraisers for 50 to 500 guests. Around 25 resident artists work in the main building, and rotating murals line the riverfront walk.

Event rooms come with house tables, chairs, cocktail rounds and coat racks, and rental upgrades are arranged through Nicholson Events, which also handles AV. The campus has 200 secured parking spaces on site, with the main entrance at Knowlton Street and the lot entrance at Maple Street. It is reached from I-95 at Exit 27A, and from Routes 8 and 25 or the Merritt Parkway.
