Unity Fired Arts

Unity Fired Arts is a community ceramics studio where adult members work with high-fire stoneware, also called cone 10 clay. The studio formulates its own glazes, and members can also bring in their own cone 10 clays and glazes. Michael Forhan, a Navy submarine veteran and former IT professional, founded the studio as a place for local artists to learn, experiment and build community.

Membership is open to anyone 18 and older, with minimal formal direction, so members work at their own pace. The studio has eight pottery wheels, a slab roller, an extruder and kilns, and it can also host larger classes. It sits near the intersection of Kitsap Way and National Boulevard in Bremerton, and it's open Wednesday through Sunday afternoons and evenings. Gift memberships are available for friends and family.
