Day's Ice Cream

Day's Ice Cream is an old-fashioned ice cream parlor on Pitman Avenue in Ocean Grove, open since 1876 and one of the oldest continually operating businesses in town. The menu covers a long list of ice cream flavors, from Cannoli and Pistachio to Rum Raisin, along with dairy-free vegan flavors, sugar-free options, Italian ice, and Italian iced tea. Waffles with ice cream and a range of toppings are also offered.

The shop is seasonal and runs through Sunday, October 11th, with Friday and Saturday hours from noon to 10 PM and Sunday hours from noon to 9 PM. It is closed Monday through Thursday. Flavors and toppings change daily based on availability, and the shop sits on Auditorium Park, so a summer visit is the time to go. The business has changed hands recently, but the owners say they are keeping the original name, address and recipes.
