Postdoc Brewing

Postdoc Brewing is a brewery with taprooms in Kenmore and Redmond, known for a Pacific Northwest lineup of beers along with sour and barrel-aged styles. The brewery started as a garage operation named by owner Tom Schmidlin while he finished a PhD in Biochemistry at the University of Washington, and it opened to the public in Redmond in 2014. The Kenmore taproom joined the group in 2024.

Both taprooms have beer gardens and rotating food trucks, and dogs on leash are welcome. The Kenmore location sits just off the Burke-Gilman trail, with bike racks on site, and the Redmond taproom is next to the east entrance of Marymoor Park. Families are welcome too, with non-alcoholic drinks, snacks and games available.
