Swissbäkers

Swissbakers is a family bakery making Swiss-style breads and pastries from scratch each day, with coffee and sandwiches at its storefronts. Helene and Thomas, who moved from Switzerland in 1998, started baking from their home kitchen in 2006 and began supplying farmers markets and catering clients before opening a shop in the Reading Train Depot in 2009.

The bakery runs a production base on Western Avenue in Allston, with a second storefront in Reading. Besides walk-in sales, it offers catering for events of every size, a wholesale program for businesses, and gift cards. The company serves the greater Boston area with daily fresh-baked goods.
