Spring Shabu-Shabu Boston

Spring Shabu Shabu serves shabu-shabu, a Japanese hot pot where diners cook meats, seafood and vegetables in a simmering broth. Broth choices include kimchi, pork bone, spicy pork bone, dashi with bonito flakes and kelp, and a mushroom vegetarian option. The base buffet covers garden vegetables, fishcakes, noodles, rice cakes, dumplings and sausage, while beef ribeye, beef belly, shrimp, top neck clams and other meat and seafood platters are added for an extra charge.

The buffet is $23.95 daily, and children ages 0 to 3 eat free while ages 4 to 10 pay $1.25 for each year of age. Seating is first-come, first-served, and reservation requests are not accepted. Last seating is 30 minutes before closing, and weekends open at 11:30 AM. The Boston location is in the Brighton neighborhood, and the restaurant describes its atmosphere as family-friendly.
