About Bogus Basin

The story

Bogus Basin is a non-profit mountain recreation area known for alpine skiing and snowboarding, with an expansive network of Nordic ski and snowshoe trails. It also runs a tubing hill, mountain bike lessons and summer rentals, and offers school outreach and learn-to-ski programs.

Lift tickets and season passes can be bought online in advance. Guests can ski or snowboard during the regular operating season from 9 AM to 9 PM, with later hours on Fridays and Saturdays. Free guided snowshoe tours run through the winter, starting and ending at the Frontier Point Nordic Lodge. The area sits about 16 miles from the Treasure Valley, and its address is on Bogus Basin Road in Boise.
