Saturday French classes for bilingual children attending American schools9525 Old Georgetown Road (MDBR 187), Bethesda, MD

My French Classes is a Saturday program for children whose mother tongue is French but whose main school language is English. Classes cover reading, writing, spelling, grammar and speaking, taught by native French teachers trained in a francophone country, with weekly homework and periodic evaluations. The program is recognized as a FLAM school by the AEFE and offers half a credit per year to Montgomery County high school students who enroll.
The program runs as a weekend activity for children from pre-K through high school, and it welcomes families from all cultural backgrounds, including bilingual households. Families who expect to stay in the United States for a longer period or only briefly can both join, since several classes meet at the same time at one location. The school is on Old Georgetown Road in Bethesda, and parents can reach the staff by phone or through the contact form on the site.
