Activity center and museum for San Ramon Valley veterans1931 Center Street, Berkeley, CA
The Veterans Memorial Building of San Ramon Valley has served as an activity center for the valley's veteran community since 1925. It houses the veterans organizations American Legion Post 246, VFW Post 75, Viet Nam Veterans of Diablo Valley, and others, and its library and historical collection holds memorabilia from WWI to the present.
The building also hosts senior programs, parties, banquets, weddings, and voting, drawing residents to downtown Danville. Docents lead guided tours on weekdays from 9am to 3pm and on Saturday mornings. Saturday social coffee runs in the mornings, and the building has a pool table, darts, and a television for visitors.
