Central Oregon Locavore

Central Oregon Locavore is a nonprofit grocery store built around farmers and makers from across Central Oregon. Its shelves are stocked with meat, eggs, produce, cheese and pantry goods from local farms, working much like a farmers' market that stays open every day. The store's stated aim is to give farmers steady year-round sales while making local food easier for families to find.

Shoppers do not need a membership to buy here, and the store says about 65 cents of every dollar goes straight back to local producers. The Westside location is one of the spots to shop, and the business also runs a local food guide, vendor programs and community events. Its address is on NE 3rd Street in Bend.
