Bemidji Downtown Meats

Bemidji Downtown Meats is a meat market selling fresh beef, pork, chicken, seafood and lamb, along with brats, sausages, hot dogs, jerky, summer sausage and smoked specialties. The shop is known locally for its brats, and its Chili Cheese brat won the 2026 Battle of the Brats for the second year in a row. Meat bundles for parties or a stocked freezer are also available.

The store also does boneless meat processing, including wild game, and can handle special orders of supplies such as beef or pork trimmings and cheese, so calling ahead is recommended. Staff can advise on cuts, cooking techniques and substitutions, and orders can be picked up in the store or shipped home. The shop has been on America Avenue in Bemidji since the early 1930s, under other names at times.
