Aref's Rugs

Aref's Rugs sells hand-made Persian and Oriental rugs along with machine-made designs in geometric, floral and modern styles. The shop also deep cleans rugs using a dipping, shampoo and air-drying process, and repairs fringes, bindings and tears on older pieces. Owner Brandon Talanehzan handles the cleaning and restoration work, which he learned growing up in the family business.

The store was founded over 50 years ago by Aref and remains family owned. Rug cleaning is offered in Bel Air, Baltimore, Ellicott City and nearby areas, with free pick-up and delivery. Appraisals are also available, and rugs can be bought through the store's online shop as well as in the showroom.
