Barrington Youth and Family Services

Barrington Youth & Family Services is a community-based, nonprofit social service agency offering counseling and preventative programming for children, teens, couples, and families. Its therapists work with a broad range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, school problems, parenting, and substance use. Prevention and outreach programs such as peer mentoring, parenting classes, support groups, and social skills work build social and academic skills.

Services are offered regardless of ability to pay, and the agency accepts a number of insurance plans. Same-day appointment requests are handled by phone, though those visits are one-time and not guaranteed to recur. Appointments can also be arranged outside regular weekday hours. Spanish-speaking staff lead programming for the Latino community. The office is at 118 Applebee Street in Barrington, Illinois.
