Bangor Pet Resort & Spa

Bangor Pet Resort & Spa offers dog and cat boarding, doggy daycare and grooming. Boarding guests stay in upscale doggie suites or cozy kitty condos with spacious play areas, while daycare starts at $27 a day for dogs who need plenty to do. Grooming is handled by certified groomers, and visits run from about forty-five minutes to four hours depending on the pet and the work involved.

Soothing music and aromatherapy are part of the stay, meant to help animals relax while they are away from home. Grooming covers much more than a shampoo and trim, with three stages and more than 30 tasks. The resort is on Essex Street in Bangor, and the staff keep weekday hours with a shorter Saturday schedule.
