Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland

Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland is a nonprofit that delivers nutritious meals to homebound older adults and adults with disabilities across Central Maryland. Founded in 1960 in Baltimore, it is one of the oldest home-delivered meal programs in the country, serving thousands of clients each year. Its "More than a meal" approach adds personal contact, daily safety checks, companionship and support services to help clients stay independent at home.

Meals are for people who are homebound and unable to shop or cook for themselves because of age, disability or illness. Clients can apply for meals through the website, and the program accepts donations and volunteers for meal delivery and meal packing. The main facility is in the Highlandtown neighborhood of Baltimore, with six regional offices across the region.
