Restaurant Francois

Restaurant François is a French-American restaurant in downtown Austin that pairs classical French technique with a modern approach. The open kitchen turns out fresh seafood, crudos, and composed dishes such as Stuffed Lamb Saddle en Croûte and Boneless Wagyu Short Ribs Bourguignon. Dry-aged prime steaks are served carte Française style, with classic sauces prepared and poured tableside, and the puff-pastry desserts are made in-house.

Dinner service runs from 5 to 10 PM Monday through Saturday and 5 to 9 PM on Sunday, and parties of more than 10 should call ahead. Valet parking is available, and proper attire is required. Next door, Bar Rouge serves classic stirred martinis, Manhattans, and a French-forward wine list. Gift cards are sold on the website.
