Red Ash

Red Ash is a two-level Italian restaurant on Colorado Street in Austin, known for craft Italian cooking done on a custom-built wood-burning grill, oven and plancha. The menu features fresh handmade pastas, seafood, locally sourced prime meats roasted over the wood fire, seasonal vegetables and desserts made fresh daily in the pastry kitchen. The wine list draws on Italy, Spain, France, Argentina, Chile, California, Oregon and Washington.

Dinner is served 5 PM to 10 PM every day, and reservations can be made online or by phone. Parties of eight or more should call ahead, and the restaurant seats most large groups on its upstairs mezzanine. Valet parking is available on Colorado Street at the Colorado Tower Garage entrance. Proper attire is requested, with no athletic wear, and the restaurant is not especially suited to young children.
