Odd Duck

Odd Duck is a restaurant on South Lamar that started in 2009 as a food trailer serving dishes made with ingredients from local Austin farms. The menu changes with the season and leans on Texas produce, whole-animal cooking and small-plate style dishes such as redfish ceviche, okra fritters, grilled chicken hearts and wagyu burgers, with desserts like chocolate peanut butter pie and olive oil cake.

Dinner service begins at 4:30 pm daily, with final seatings at 9:00 pm Sunday through Wednesday and 9:30 pm Thursday through Saturday. Reservations are taken, and parties of seven or more have a separate request. Takeout is not currently offered. Happy hour runs weekdays from 4:30 to 5:30 pm. The restaurant is at 1201 S. Lamar Blvd in Austin.
