Koko's Bavarian

Koko's Bavarian is a beer hall on South Lamar that serves German-style comfort food alongside a wall of big screens for sports. The menu centers on house-made bratwurst and sausages, a giant pretzel, Belgian fries, and schnitzel, with a long list of draft beers, frozen cocktails and wine. Koko's was founded by a Bavarian prince and is built for sharing, so groups tend to settle in at the long tables for an afternoon.

The beer hall takes no reservations and charges no entry fee, and there is free parking on site. A kids menu is available, and the place is welcoming to all ages. Koko's also runs a number of venue locations at arenas and concert halls, but this South Lamar spot is its flagship, found at 3003 S Lamar Blvd in Austin.
